Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (One Bowl)

This recipe is so easy and simple and it's a great way to use up the bananas that had almost gone bad. Thanks to the blog IWashYouDry for this fantastic treat! The chocolate chip makes each slice gooey and yummy and it's best served fresh! This is a great thing to have kids get involved with as well! They'll love smashing the bananas!

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray your 8'' x 5'' loaf pan
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until the chunks are smoothed out. Next, pour the melted butter into the bowl and mix until well blended
  3. Add the sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda and salt and mix, then stir in the flour. The batter should be pretty thick. Fold in the chocolate chips gently and once everything is combined, pour into the pan. Add a few more chocolate chips on top for a fancy touch!
  4. Bake for about 50 minutes to 1 hour (or use the toothpick trick, insert it and if it comes out clean, it's ready). Let it cool completely on a wire rack. Slice it up and enjoy!

A classic recipe great for the fall holidays!
What should I make next?
Love, Nick
